Waterbirds - The SCSCB is working towards establishing the Caribbean Waterbird Census (CWC). The overall goal of the program is to increase support for waterbird and wetland conservation in the insular Caribbean by promoting monitoring as a means to improve science-based conservation planning and adaptive management of birds. West Indian Whistling-Duck - The WIWD Working Group is working to reverse the decline of the endangered WIWD, a Caribbean endemic species, and to prevent the further loss and degradation of wetlands in the Caribbean. Update report coming soon. |

Pterodroma hasitata/ Diablotin / Petrel Antillano / Chanwan Lasèl / Black-capped Petrel - The purpose of this group is to facilitate the creation and implementation of a conservation action plan for the Black-capped Petrel (Pterodroma hasitata). Migratory Birds - SCSCB is working towards "all-bird" conservation in the region by integrating migratory bird initiatives (such as celebration of International Migratory Bird Day) in its bird conservation programs. Check out the new IMBD webpages. |

Caribbean Wildlife Art - The mission of this group is to promote an artistic movement in the Caribbean based on Wildlife Art, to raise awareness and appreciation of the rich biodiverstiy of the region, and to join efforts among the artistic community to contribute to the financing of the SCSCB. Sustainable Bird and Nature Tourism - This is a new Working Group formed to promote conservation of important sites and habitats and sustainable livelihoods through bird and nature tourism. We are beginning to add resources to this new page - check back often! NEW! |

Bird Monitoring - The long-term vision of SCSCB's Monitoring WG is to enable Caribbean countries to build high-quality, bird monitoring and training programs that have regional relevance and significance because of shared species and habitats.
